Koreans are incredible shots and have a lot of grenades and also have the habit of flanking you in cover so it is challenging but can also feel chaotic and frustrating in parts. There's no frills and a couple blunt edges. Ammo is thin, the enemy is numerous, you have a handful of allies and no real powers to rely on beyond speed and accuracy. It is fairly unique to play as the completely outmatched rebels. It's an old school action movie like Red Dawn you can play. The genre is treated with respect, the scenario pretty grounded.
The concept is no less ridiculous than say Wolfenstein but unlike that game this one doesn't feel smug. It's strange to call a fairly brutal game charming but that's how it feels: like a vision was put to code here rather than chasing a trend. It's got heart and flair even if it's a little rusty.
